About Christina Guttuso, DVM

Christina Guttuso, DVM, is a veterinarian, educator, speaker, and founder of The Gentle Journey Method™, an educational approach designed to help pet parents and veterinary professionals recognize meaningful changes in pet quality of life earlier, communicate more clearly, and make more informed decisions.

Her work grew from more than 20 years in veterinary medicine and a recurring problem she saw while helping families navigate serious illness, declining quality of life, and end-of-life decisions.

Why I Created The Gentle Journey Method™

After years of providing hospice and end-of-life care in families’ homes, I recognized a pattern that appeared again and again: a pet’s quality of life could be changing significantly before the people who loved them recognized what those changes meant.

Pets can be suffering before the people who love them recognize it.

That recognition became the foundation of The Gentle Journey Method™—an approach focused on helping pet parents and veterinary teams recognize meaningful changes earlier, communicate more clearly, and make informed decisions throughout a pet’s medical journey.
